Vern Beauboff is a member of the "Dirty Dozen". He is the brother of Roy Beauboff, who is the brains of the duo. He is considered a crack shot. He is sentenced to hang.
When Second Lieutenant Dan Danko comes to recruit Vern, he tells him he won't go because the deal is only for him and not his brother. After Vern refuses to go without Roy, many times, Danko relents and decides to let them both join.
